Haven: Hearth: Hame

"Haven", a place of safety or refuge

"Hearth", primarily symbolising the warmth, comfort, and safety of home, serving as the traditional center of family life, community, and domesticity. It represents a sacred space of gathering, unity, and continuity, often signifying the heart of a household and a connection to ancestral traditions.

"Hame" is the Scots word for "home," used to signify not just a physical dwelling, but a deep sense of belonging and comfort.

Having been an artist and crafter for more than two decades, Laura, H3’s principal designer has been living in the mountains for 15 years. As a former chef Laura has also been in commercial kitchen design and greatly embraces the challenge of reconfiguring what she considers the most sacred of spaces.

Laura’s other design passions include encouraging those with outdoor spaces to use them as much as possible. She wants everyone to appreciate the natural world we live in and aligns and works with The Barefoot Gardener landscape team to get you wanting to spend time in your outside areas.
